Had the pleasure and honor to check out Robin Givens’ hit stage play “Joy in the Morning”

About the Play

Robin Givens steps into what many may see as a new role, as writer and director: though, ‘Joy in the Morning’ is a Play with Music that has been in development for more than a decade. Written initially as a ‘Spiritual Memoir’, in 1998 Robin called on friends of hers’ Yolanda Adams, Johnny Gill and James Avery to bring this deeply stirring and profoundly thought provoking piece to life…they performed it as a Stage Reading with Music in New York at Carnegie Hall.

This production has come a long way and traveled far to become the powerful play that it is today…from America to Bermuda and back. Each step of the way it has evolved in character and become enriched with talent.

Robin Givens has written a story you will not forget…‘Joy’ in the Morning is a provocative love story that will touch every heart…because without a doubt we all know love and heartbreak…triumph and defeat…and…sometimes we have to lose ourselves…to find, who we were always intended to be.

It was a very touching play and the music was fantastic.  You will laugh, You will cry, and you will love it.

Here is some pictures after the show
